Ashley L. Michelle Best

My heart is sad. Ashley left this earth at an early age of 17 years old. She wanted to celebrate her 18th birthday at Lagoon. Ashley was a sweet girl. She will be greatly missed. When somebody dies, one thinks more about their life now. How am I living? Could I do better? Will I be ready when He wants me back to his Heavenly home? When losing someone, the hurt is real. You love them and think of them often, but then when you think of them, it hurts. Your heart hurts bad. But there is one comforting thing that I know for sure of. Our Savior knows the pain that we bear. He has felt them. He is there to comfort. I also know that we will be able to see our loved ones again. I am forever grateful for eternal families!

Life.....only the postive!

So, here I am. Knowing that I need to post something on here because it's been ages and my fans, if I really had any, probably all left cuz I am boring now. :) I'm sorry guys! My life has been consumed by so many challenges, positive and negative, that I'm afraid that if I start writing, I will only vent the negative.....sigh... So I will only point out the blessing in my life lately.

First I would like to say that while I was typing the last paragraph I was having a HUGE craving for ice cream....loaded with chocolate syrup...so I got up, looked in the freezer...my hand stretching for the ice cream....but then I ended up grabbing the frozen soybeans that I was craving earlier in the week...SUCCESS!!!! Yay!

So with my work, I take care of a lot of people that need help in their homes....elderly people mostly. I come home feeling great that I had brightened their day by helping out and easing thier burdens. Helping them "do" just one more day of life. Because there are many of them that are ready to go "back home." I am grateful for my body. That I have ALL my parts and they seem to work when I tell them to work. There are many that don't have that luxary. I am grateful for my health and I think I really take advantage of being "young" and not having to worry about the older aged problems.....but if I don't take care of myself now, then it will all catch up with me! I am going to get a membership to the gym tomorrow! With this job, I am much more compassionate with others and their trials. One gentleman said to me, "I'm sorry you have to do this for me." I told him it was not a problem at all - and I really meant it. He told me I was a good liar. That was funny but I was being completely honest. Heavenly Father has all control. At any moment, I could be like that guy..having someone else bathe me, feed me, etc. I am thankful for my life. I thank the Lord everyday for giving me TODAY. You never know when your number is up.

I am thankful for my neighbor man mechanic that fixed my van. It would have probably cost me 500 bucks to get it fixed at any other mechanics. But because of the "negatives" that is happening in my life he charged me a much lower price. One that was affordable. I am forever grateful for his kind heart!

I am grateful for the added shifts in my work when at first my hours were getting dropped like crazy and my paycheck would have been half the amount. But I had faith in my Lord and knew that things happen for a reason. I kept believing that there was something out there. Either I find another job or I will pick up more hours. Because of my trial of faith I got the reward.......MORE HOURS! Yay for me!

Another thing is I have been paying on this doctor bill from 2006. It was when Caitlin had her surgery on her fingers. I have been paying on this for now 5 years little by little. I got a call the other day from the office and they told me that they reviewed my account and because I have been so faithful in making payments they decided to relieve me from my debt!! When I got off the phone, I just bawled and immediately thanked my Father in Heaven! I had around $500 to still pay on that!

All these blessings happened in only the last 2-3 weeks! Crazy huh? But one more thing......I really want ice cream now! This soybean thing is NOT cutting it! But I guess for now I will just go to bed...That's why I like about a new day...it's a fresh start....I love new days! They make me happy!

End of 2010

So the year has come to an end and I feel like I am constantly going.....does life every slow down? But Do I really want life to slow down? Only some parts of my life...like the kids growing up, that can slow down a little....not too ready for them to grow older. My baby is 6 years old...can't she just stay that way? I'm going to miss the little people.

So what happened in 2010? Well, I was in school getting my associates in medical specialties...graduated in June with my kids cheering for me as I get my diploma...then started work in September. I have been busy going to clients homes and helping them with their daily needs. It is real fun to get to know them. It has made me think about my life - do I want to be a bitter old lady that regrets my whole life? or do I want to be able to be happy with what I did with my life and ready to move onto the next phase - life after death? It's been interesting so far...I feel like life is just begining again....so much to do and accomplish and see....I hope I can grow up to be a happy little old lady!

So here it is, December 16th, and I STILL need to finish Christmas shopping, start on Christmas cards, and mail the presents to the grandparents - which I am real excited about! I know they will like it! But will it get there before Christmas? I hope so!

Well, I am excited for the new year and what it will bring! Merry Christmas everyone!!

So I did it....................sort of

On June 24th, 2010 I got to walk in the graduation ceremony! A year and a half of hard work is finally coming to an end! The reason why I said "So I did it....sort of" is because I will actually be done with school end of August. Yeah for me! There were so many times I thought about quitting....life got hard and I thought maybe it's not the right time...But there was always something nagging at me telling me to keep on and it will be worth it in the end.....I'm so glad I listened to that voice! I graduated with an assosiates in medical specialties. With that I am certified as a phlebotomist, CNA, medical assistant..and there's other certifications I can take but haven't had to time to take them yet.
